The Town of Elizabeth is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and
community-focused leader to serve as its next Town Administrator.
This is an opportunity to help guide a growing Colorado community
that values its rural character, strong relationships, and commitment
to responsible growth.
Located in western Elbert County along Colorado’s Front Range,
Elizabeth combines the charm of a historic small town with the
opportunities and momentum that come with continued regional
economic development. The Town is looking for a leader who can
balance long-term planning with day-to-day operational excellence
while preserving the character and identity that residents value most.
The next Town Administrator will work closely with the Mayor and
Board of Trustees to provide strategic leadership, strengthen
organizational effectiveness, support quality service delivery, and help
position the Town for continued success in the years ahead.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the Town Administrator role is an
approachable and grounded leader who understands the dynamics
of small-town government and can balance sustainable growth while
preserving Elizabeth’s character and charm. They are a strong
communicator with proven municipal finance and budget
experience who can organize priorities, move projects forward, and
lead staff with accountability and respect. This person leads with
integrity, sincerity, and humility, while remaining calm and patient in
challenging or politically sensitive situations. They are a positive
motivator and teacher who develops strong teams, communicates
honestly, and has the confidence and thick skin to make difficult
decisions in the best interest of the community.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Town of Elizabeth offers a competitive compensation and benefits
package that will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Salary Range: $150,000 – $190,000
