- 8 years as City and County Manager of Broomfield; 29 years as Assistant and then Deputy City and County Manager of Broomfield
- 3 years as Circuit Riding City Manager of Norwood and Nucla, Colorado and then Collbran and DeBeque, Colorado;
- Served many years on the jury of the National Civic League All America City Award competition
- BA and MPA from University of Colorado
- Certificate Program for Senior Executives in State and local Government Harvard Kennedy School of Government
