The Town of Winter Park is recruiting a Sustainable Community Coordinator to support the Winter Park Fraser Valley Sustainable Community Plan as well as develop and support the Town’s Climate Action Plan. Working both on broader sustainability as well as renewable energy, transportation, zero waste, and other special projects will allow the selected candidate to work on many of the Town’s highest priorities by assisting the Town Manager and leadership team as well as coordinating with the Chamber of Commerce. Reporting to the Assistant Town Manager, the position prepares technical documents, develops, and oversees adopted plans and their implementation, and coordinates across Town departments. The Sustainable Community Coordinator will also work on special projects including grant writing, data gathering and analysis, collaborating with community organizations and other local governmental entities, as well as assisting with administrative functions and the day-to-day operations of the Town.

Two to five years of related work experience related to the development and management of sustainability initiatives, grant writing, and program and policy analysis are desired. A bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Environment Planning, Environmental Science & Resource Management or Sustainability related field is desired with a Master’s Degree preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
The salary range is currently $59,416 – $100,654, with a desired starting salary from $59,000 to $85,000 dependent on qualifications.
