Overview

We are an intergovernmental self-insurance pool in Colorado seeking a skilled
part-time County Administration/Management Consultant to support our member
counties in minimizing liability claims. The ideal candidate will have a robust
understanding of county operations, legal statutes, and possess the expertise to
present informative seminars on various administrative topics. This position plays
a critical role in promoting effective governance and compliance within county
operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Member Counties in reducing liability claims through comprehensive
analysis and strategic advice.
• Deliver seminars on critical topics, including:
o Powers and Duties of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)
o Open Meeting Act (Sunshine Law)
o Statutory Duties and Responsibilities of Elected Officials
o Contract Bidding and Bonding Requirements
o Budgeting and Financial Restrictions on the County and BOCC
• Provide guidance and support in the recruitment process for County
Administrators and other key personnel.

Qualifications

• Strong background in public administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in risk management or related fields.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to independently conduct detailed analyses and provide actionable
recommendations.
• Familiarity with county statutes and intergovernmental operations preferred.

Salary Range

The salary range for this part-time position is $50.00 to $66.00 per hour, depending
on qualifications.
