- Larimer County Manager for 18 years
- Town Administrator in Estes Park for 7 years
- Served in other roles as a City Forester, County Forester and Natural Resources Director
- BS- Landscape Horticulture and MBA- Management from Colorado State University
- Graduate of Rocky Mountain Leadership Program
- ACCA President 2001-2003
- Colorado County Administrator of the Year – 2001
- CCCMA Lifetime Achievement Award – 2019
- County representative to the Governor’s Broomfield City/County Task Force
- Alumnus – FEMA Integrated Emergency Management Course Emmetsburg, MD, 2004, 2009, 2011
- Vice Chair – Cache La Poudre National Heritage Area
