Jenn Ooton
Jenn Ooton is the Senior Project Manager in the City Manager’s Office at the City of Aspen.
She is a strong operations professional skilled in Organizational Development, Community Development, Community Outreach, Media Relations, and Regionalism. Ms. Ooton holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver, and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder. She has 14 years of experience in local government, including working on affordable housing policy, resiliency, and with property owners and developers on redevelopment and infill projects.

As a Colorado woman leading a government committee member, I bring over 15 years of experience in local government, tourism, and economic development. With a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Butler University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Colorado, I prioritize innovation, accountability, and community engagement.
In the past six years, I’ve held pivotal roles in municipal governance, including Deputy Town Manager for the Town of Telluride, as well as Director of Operations and Development, and Economic Development Director for the Town of Mountain Village.
With a background in tourism spanning ten years, I understand the importance of customer-centric approaches and fostering inclusive strategies to uplift communities and boost tourism.
With a decade-long journey in tourism, I’ve cultivated a deep understanding of customer-centric approaches. I champion change by leveraging strategic planning and relationship-building to drive economic growth and address community needs.
